I am the Associate Dean and an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the College of Business at East Carolina University. Previously I served as Assistant Dean for Assessment, Accreditation, & Curriculum in the College. Prior to joining ECU I was on the faculty of the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. Before pursuing an academic career I worked for several small businesses and non-profits including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
My research primarily focuses on Internet Mediated Relationships and has appeared in journals such as Industrial Management & Data Systems, Journal of Internet Commerce, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Information Systems Education and has been presented at numerous conferences.
I received a BA in Business Administration from Palm Beach Atlantic College, MBA from Florida Atlantic University, and PhD in Management – Management of Information Technology & Innovation from Auburn University. I have been recognized as a Commerce Club Teaching Award recipient, ECU Chancellor’s Leadership Fellow and have been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.
